Our Story

From a neglected family farm to the first vacation rental in the municipality — a decade of hospitality shaped by nature, warmth, and genuine care.

A Family Farm Finds Its Calling

The land that would become Lily Vacation Farm House had always belonged to the family, but for years it sat largely untouched — a property in Barangay Pagkalinawan, Jala-Jala, Rizal with a dilapidated structure that kept owners from visiting often. The farm was beautiful in its way, facing Laguna de Bay with the profiles of Mt. Banahaw and Mt. Makiling on the far shore, but it was waiting for someone to believe in it.

The decision to renovate changed everything. Once the work was done, the family began spending real time at the farm — swimming, cooking outdoors, watching the sun set over the lake — and they realised what they had was too special to keep private. In 2015, they opened Lily Vacation Farm House to guests, and it became the first-ever vacation rental in the Municipality of Jalajala.

Word spread quietly but steadily. Families from Metro Manila discovered they could be on the lakeshore in two hours. Barkada groups booked it for birthday weekends. Couples renewed their vows under the acacia tree. Every stay taught the hosts something new about what their guests truly needed: not luxury in the conventional sense, but ease, privacy, and the feeling of being genuinely welcomed.

The Convictions Behind the Farm

Privacy is a Gift

When you book Lily, you take the entire property — all 1.6 hectares, all the spaces, all the staff attention. We do not host multiple groups simultaneously. This is not a resort; it is your home for the duration of your stay, and the distinction matters to everything we do.

Nature is the Amenity

Screens, crowds, and notifications are what guests come to escape. We have designed the farm around what cannot be replicated elsewhere: a working farm with animals to meet, a lake that changes colour with the sky, and mornings so quiet you can hear the birds before you open your eyes.

Hospitality is Personal

Nine years of Airbnb Superhost recognition was not built through policy documents — it was built through two on-site caretakers who remember what kind of coffee you take, who light the bonfire before you ask, and who make sure every guest leaves with a story worth telling. That standard does not waver regardless of group size or occasion.

Five Values, Every Stay

01

Exclusivity Without Pretension

Every booking is a private rental of the entire farm — not because we want to be exclusive, but because we believe shared facilities change the feeling of a place in ways that matter.

02

Consistency Over Trend

We do not chase the next new thing in hospitality. What we offer has been refined over a decade of actual guest stays — the upgrades we make are driven by what guests genuinely need, not by what looks good in a brochure.

03

Community Rootedness

As the first vacation rental in Jalajala, we take our role in the local community seriously. Our caretakers are local, our suppliers are local, and we welcome guests who are curious about the municipality — not just the farm.

04

Stewardship of the Land

The 1.6 hectares under our care includes working farmland, established trees, and lakefront terrain. We host guests in a way that preserves these rather than wearing them down — the acacia tree that shades the outdoor dining area has been here longer than the farm itself.

05

Memories Over Metrics

We track our Superhost rating because it matters to guests, but the number we care about most is zero — the number of stays where a guest left without something to remember. Bonfire nights, horseback rides at golden hour, and midnight swims in the colour-therapy pool are not extras. They are the point.
